Meet Our Leadership Team

Pastor/Elder

Chris and Katie Dodson

Chris grew up in North Carolina and Katie grew up in Cedar City, Utah. We met at Bible College in West Virginia and were married three years later. God has blessed us with seven children, five boys and two girls. In 2008 the Lord gave us a desire to plant a church in Northern Utah County. Although it seemed impossible at the time, we began to pray that God would build a gospel-preaching church in the towns of Alpine, Highland, and Cedar Hills. We were thrilled when God opened up doors for us to be able move into these communities and brought together many pieces to make it possible to start Lone Peak Bible Church. We held our first Bible study (in a Highland city public park!) in May of 2014, and God has been faithful each step of the way. The Lord is doing incredible things in this community, and we are excited to see God at work to bring people to Himself and build His church!

Elder

Nathan and Rachel Allinger

Rachel grew up in Indiana, and Nathan has lived in Utah since he was eight. We met at Appalachian Bible college, and got married 3 years after we graduated. Our oldest son is special needs, and his twin brothers are 2 years younger. They are also followed by a little sister. Nathan works a full-time IT job at a software company, while also helping Chris as an elder. Rachel is involved in children’s ministry, and other administrative responsibilities in the church. We’ve been with Lone Peak for over 10 years now, and we’ve been excited to see how God has worked in and through this church.

Deacon

David and Addy Denning

David Denning grew up in South Carolina and Addy grew up in New Jersey and Ireland as the daughter of a pastor and church planter. In 2015, David came to Utah to work with Lone Peak Bible Church while Addy came to help out the ministry of Key Radio where they met after a few years and were married in 2018. They now have three boys and David works as a Revenue Operations Manager while Addy takes care of the home and family. In his spare time David also loves to hike the majestic peaks of Utah, working in the yard, and taking the boys to parks across Utah valley while Addy enjoys painting, crocheting, and interior design projects . They are passionate about blessing others especially in the area of music which can be a great tool for the Gospel and knowing God’s Word, the Bible.

Deacon

Matthew and Melanie Holtzem

Matthew and Melanie Holtzem are both from Maryland. They met in 2009 at Towson University, and were married in 2013. A few years later they moved to Utah for Matt’s job in the tech industry. In 2018, the Lord led them to Lone Peak Bible Church and they have been attending and serving ever since. The Holtzems have 2 girls and one baby boy on the way. While they moved to Utah for a job, they have decided to stay after falling in love with Utah and all that it has to offer. Together, the Holtzem family enjoys bike riding, building lego, and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens.
