Lone Peak Bible Church

Every Sunday morning at Lone Peak our goal is to worship and learn about God, and encourage each other. We are a casual and friendly church, and we want you to know what to expect so you feel more comfortable stepping into a new place.

What time does church start? Our service always starts at 10:30 AM and we aim to finish around 12:00 pm.

Where should I park? Our church owns a large converted house on Alpine Highway in Highland, and you can park anywhere near the building. Some people park in the gravel area in front, while others park on the curb along the street. We are saving and looking for bigger property to accomodate our growing church body, but until then we are thankful for friendly neighbors who let us park wherever we need!

“What should I wear?” We believe God cares less about what we wear and more about the motivation of our hearts as we come to worship Him. People wear what they feel most comfortable wearing, anything from jeans to skirts. Come wearing whatever you like and you will be welcome!

Is there a children’s class?: Parents have the option of letting children ages 4-10 enjoy our children’s Bible class, where they can learn a fun and engaging lesson about the Bible, as well as enjoy crafts and games, and a short Bible video. This class is dismissed right before the sermon begins. If your children are more comfortable staying with you, that’s fine too! We provide toddler “busy bags” for little ones who want to stay with their parents.

Is there a nursery for my baby or toddler? We have a nursery during our entire service each Sunday. Babies and toddlers ages 0-3 are welcome in our nursery which is always led by two volunteers who have passed careful background checks. If you would rather keep your little one with you for the whole service, that’s fine too!

Will I be singled out as a visitor or asked to come to the front? We know it isn’t easy to step into a new church for the first time. We would never single you out during the service. People will welcome you and answer any questions you might have.

Worship in Prayer and Song: Our goal is to honor the Lord and teach Biblical truth through each song we sing, which is why every song is well thought out and intended to provoke our hearts to worship Him. We also believe prayer is an important part of our time together, as we praise the Lord and bring our needs before Him each week.

Sermon from God’s Word: Each week we are challenged and encouraged in God’s Word with a thought-provoking message that is intended to change how we think, and talk, and live in our everyday lives.

Refreshments: We always enjoy talking before and after the church service. We provide coffee every week, and most often we provide snacks in our front welcome area.

We are here because of God’s amazing grace in our lives and we simply enjoy meeting to worship the Lord, encourage each other, and learn God’s Word together. We encourage you to join us for the service this Sunday morning!
